The German-American Institute, short America House, is located in the heart of Nuremberg and has served the public for over 60 years with a great variety of cultural programs, English language classes, and information sessions on topics related to the United States. Our library offers books from all areas and also has a new children's book section.

Zweisprachiges Bilderbuchkino- Story Time
Nichts leichter als das! Englisch ist gar nicht so schwer, wenn man eine Geschichte in zwei Sprachen erzählt bekommt und der Dia-Projektor klackernd die dazu passenden Bilder an die Wand projiziert. Außerdem macht es umso mehr Spaß, wenn Kinder für Kinder lesen!

„Word Up" - Fotoprojekt (zweisprachig)
Nimm Deinen Fotoapparat und geh mit dem amerikanischen Fotografen Raymond Romanos auf Foto-Tour durch Nürnberg!
Students are going on a tour through Nuremberg in order to photograph letters in a close-up fashion. These letters will then form words, which they have chosen from a given list dealing with a specific subject: Barack Obama. The letters will then be arranged, printed and exhibited at a specific location in January 2010. The most creative approach will win a prize. The course of the tour will take you through the center of Nuremberg and will last 2-3 hours. Participants must bring their own digital cameras which should have a minimum resolution of 6 mega pixels. Batteries should be charged and memory cards should have enough space for the amount of pictures to be taken.
